A mehndi is a pre wedding ceremony which is also the first wedding event where both the bride and groom are present. Turmeric is applied to the brides face, and mehndi is applied to her hands and feet as well as on the guests. There’s music, dancing, and a couple of wedding rituals too.

I kept my makeup simple once again, and that’s because people usually go for a more natural look for the mehndi.

For my base, I’m wearing Maybelline Fit Me Dewy and Smooth Foundation in the shade Buff Beige. On my cheeks I used Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll. The bronzer I used was Hoola by Benifit. For my highlighter I used the highlight shade in the Essence All About Sunrise eyeshadow palette. I lined my eyes with the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42. The masacara I used was Maybelline Colossal Volume. To set my makeup I used Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder. I finished off the look with Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balm in Rendezvous.

I curled my hair using the Nume curling wand in 25mm which came in my Octowand set. I sectioned my hair into 3 parts and curled 1″ sections, alternating directions. I made sure to leave 1/2″ off the bottom of the hair as well as from the top (so the curls isn’t too close to the scalp). For my top sections however I teased the hair and started the curl higher up. I topped it off with a headpiece which I purchased off eBay.
