Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

Lately there’s been a lot of hype going around about the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water.. Okay, maybe not really, but it definitely is in my world! After seeing this product in Ingrid Nilsen’s Skin Care routine, I’ve been wanting to try it out. But since it’s not available here in Canada, I had to wait until I went to the US.

I purchased my bottle at Walmart for $5.97US and it came with 198mL of product. The cleansing water says it’s for sensitive skin and contains no harsh chemicals. It claims to cleanse, remove makeup, and hydrate skin, all in 3 steps.

Of course I tried it as soon as I got home, even though I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And believe it or not, it actually cleaned my face! After rubbing the cotton pad around my face, my skin looked noticeably cleaner, and the cotton pad itself, dirty. It felt cleaner too, and quite refreshing.

After a few minutes my face did start to tingle which I guess is good since that means it’s killing the bacteria on your face. It did leave a weird residue after using it though, which I didn’t really like. But if it’s helping your skin, then why not just bare with it?

Yesterday I tried it as a makeup remover after I came back from a wedding and it worked really well. It took off everything I was wearing- bb cream, eye shadow, eyeliner, blush, and lipstick.

Overall, I’d give this product a 9/10 rating and would definitely recommend it to everyone, whether you have bad skin or not, because it’s better to start taking care of your skin now than before it gets too late.
